##TrustBid — Turning Seller Promises into Financial Commitments
The Problem
Online marketplaces rely heavily on reviews, ratings, and seller reputation to create trust. However, these signals only describe what a seller did in the past. They do not show how confident a seller is about fulfilling the promises they are making right now.
Two sellers can offer the same laptop at the same price and promise the same delivery time, yet the buyer has very little information to determine which promise is more reliable.
Our Solution
TrustBid introduces a new way for sellers to compete: not only on price, but on trust.
Buyers describe what they need, such as:
- Laptop under $400
- New, not refurbished
- 16 GB RAM
- Delivery within 3 days
Sellers then submit competing offers and can financially back each individual promise with USD₮.
For example:
Seller A
- Price: $390
- New product: 5 USD₮ backed
- Delivery ≤ 3 days: 5 USD₮ backed
Seller B
- Price: $400
- New product: 50 USD₮ backed
- Delivery ≤ 3 days: 40 USD₮ backed
The buyer is no longer comparing only price and reviews. They can also see how much economic risk each seller is willing to take behind their claims.
If the seller fulfills the promise, the committed funds remain with or return to the seller according to the transaction flow.
If a specific promise is broken, the compensation associated with that promise can be paid to the buyer.
This creates a new trust signal:
Reviews tell you what a seller did yesterday. TrustBid shows you what they are willing to risk today.
AI-Powered Offer Analysis
TrustBid can also analyze what matters most to each buyer.
If a buyer says:
«“I don't care if the laptop arrives one day late. My main concern is that it must actually be new.”»
the system gives more importance to the financial commitment behind the “new / not refurbished” claim.
This allows TrustBid to compare offers using:
- Price
- Seller commitments
- Claim-level guarantees
- Buyer priorities
- Risk exposure
Instead of simply recommending the cheapest seller.
Why WDK?
WDK is a core component of TrustBid's financial trust layer.
We are building for the WDK CLI Track, using:

- "@tetherto/wdk-cli"
WDK provides the wallet infrastructure required to manage addresses, balances, USD₮ transfers, transaction previews, and payment flows associated with seller commitments.
The WDK CLI and its agent-friendly architecture allow TrustBid to connect financial actions to the decisions made inside the platform.
Without WDK, TrustBid would only display promises.
With WDK, those promises can carry real economic consequences.
Why It Is Different
Traditional marketplaces make sellers compete mainly through:
price + ratings + shipping speed
TrustBid introduces another competitive dimension:
price + financially backed trust
Instead of one generic guarantee for the entire transaction, individual claims can carry different financial commitments.
A seller may strongly back:
- authenticity,
- condition,
- delivery time,
- specifications,
while another seller may expose very little capital behind those same claims.
This transforms trust from a subjective reputation score into a measurable economic signal.
Example Flow
- A buyer describes the product and conditions they need.
- Sellers submit competing TrustBids.
- Each seller assigns USD₮ commitments to specific claims.
- TrustBid compares price, commitments and buyer priorities.
- The buyer selects an offer.
- WDK powers the wallet and USD₮ payment flow.
- The transaction is evaluated against the promised conditions.
- Fulfilled commitments remain with the seller; broken commitments can trigger the corresponding buyer compensation.
Vision
TrustBid is not another crypto marketplace.
It is a trust infrastructure for digital commerce.
As online commerce increasingly involves AI agents making purchasing decisions for humans, static ratings may not be enough. Machines need structured, measurable signals of confidence.
